Ediotor's Note (English Edition) - Review of Project

The REAP PROJECT, Rapid Evangelization of Africa Peoples Project was launched officially by the Executive Committee of Central Africa Assemblies of God Alliance in 2007 during the Africa Azusa Revival held in Libreville. The President of the Alliance, Rev Sebastian Obiang, the General Superintendent of Equatorial Guinea announced this at the closing exercise of the revival event. The Director of the Evangelism and Missions Department, Rev Uche Ama announced on behalf of the Alliance that the Project will take off under the REAP 2007:Mission Gabon. La Note De L'éditeur (édition en français) - LA REVUE DU PROJET RECOLTER par l’Evangélisation Accéléré des Peuples (REAP)

L PROJET Récolter qui vise l’évangélisation accéléré des peuples d’Afrique, en sigle,” REAP”, sigle ainsi choisi pour uniformisation avec les frères et sœurs dans la foi des pays anglophones, était officiellement lancé, en l’an 2007, par le Comité Exécutif de l’Alliance des Assemblées de Dieu de l’Afrique Centrale, au cours de la Campagne de Réveil Evangélique dénommée « REVEIL AZUSA DE L’AFRIQUE » qui s’était tenu à Libreville. En cette occasion, le Président en exercice de l’Alliance, le Ré. Sébastien Obiang, qui est aussi le Surintendant Général de l’Eglise pour la Guinée Equatoriale, avait annoncé la création de ce projet lors de la clôture de cette cession de Réveil. Le Rév.Uche AMA, en sa qualité de Directeur du Département d’Evangélisation et des Missions, avait aussi annoncé au nom de l’Alliance que le Projet REAP sera lancé sous le label de « RECOLTE 2007:Mission pour le Gabon. 20 églises environ seront plantées, au cours de l’intervalle allant de l’an 2007 jusau’à l’an 2009, comme indiqué dans le Tableau 1 repris ci - dessus. Introduction

Rapid Evangelization of Africa People is a 21st Century Evangelization Strategy aimed at identifying each of these peoples and specifically targeting them. In targeting them, the adopting agency or agencies would be partner with the Evangelism and Missions department of Central Africa Assemblies of God Alliance (CAAGA). Reapafrica.org is the Digital Communication and Information Portal for the Rapid Evangelization of Africa Peoples (REAP) - Project. The debut of reapafrica.org website is as a result of the difficulty in communication within the region among member nations. The need was expressed by the Director at the General Assembly in a memo presented to and approved by the Assembly in Gabon. This portal shall be trilingual – English, French and Spanish. The entire portal will greatly enhance the communication quality and information access to the Rapid Evangelization of Africa Peoples (REAP) – Project.

What you need to know first

We need to have a working knowledge of R.E.A.P and the REAP 2007: Mission Gabon in particular. The Africa Assemblies of God Alliance (AAGA), has a World Missions Commission. The Central Africa Region of AAGA also has Evangelism and Missions Department. The responsibility of galvanizing all the national churches towards the fulfillment of the Missionary mandate of the Church in Africa, is the priority role of the department.
